Description

This day trip combines two destinations and experiences - The first Dalmatian Wine Cooperative on the island of Brac and the oldest town in Croatia, Stari Grad on the island of Hvar.

Your senses are to be enthused by the exquisite nature, wine, food and ancient history of the islands. Our local skipper will pick you up in Split or Trogir at 9.00 and first sail you to the Island of Brac. On the way, the skipper will make sure to find you the perfect spot for a swim in an idyllic and secluded bay, Murvica.

Next stop will be famous Bol town on island of Brac. Here you will get to visit Stina Winery, located at the very seafront, right at the Riva, Bol's boardwalk. It's housed in a historical building, as the inscription at the front of the building still shows: “The first Dalmatian Wine Cooperative”. The wine cooperative was established in 1901, and this building was built in 1903. The interesting fact is that the ground floor featured wine making facilities, while the first floor housed an elementary school.

We will now continue to the second island of today’s tour, the island called Hvar. It’s location at the center of the Adriatic sailing routes has long made this island an important base for commanding trade up and down the Adriatic, across to Italy and throughout the wider Mediterranean. Approaching Hvar Island, it’s about time for lunch. We have found a true hidden gem-Tiha bay lounge bar. Only approachable by boat. Simple food in beautiful surroundings.

After lunch our skipper will sail you to Stari Grad the oldest town in Croatia. The same year - 384 b.c. when greek philoshoper Aristotel was born in Trakia, the greeks from the island of Paros in Agean sea have settled the town on the island of Hvar, and named it Pharos. A walk through the Stari Grad center, narrow streets and small squares brings the whisperings of the past times.

In the afternoon, the boat will sail you back to Split or Trogir, arriving  around 18.00, just in time for a drink or dinner.
